Explore Collins' debut exhibition The Offering, a body of works born out of emotional interaction ¿ the visceral; a dialogue between the human experience and the filters of perception.Focusing on the feminine effect, the exhibit explores the complexities of societal norms, specifically regarding our acceptance of the power-shift between male and female constructs. We overlook the immeasurable sacrifices of women transitioning into motherhood. The discrepancy is subtle yet profound. However, virility expresses the connotation of power while fertility articulates being fruitful. It's completely common that we describe men as virile and women as fertile. We fail to see that in surrendering their power they become it; power-ful.
