Gerry S. Kaplan, is President of Kaplan Research Associates Inc, MSW, which he founded in 1988.Gerry has over 30 years of experience in the research and evaluation field. He also served as a Shop Steward at the Vancouver Health Department in the early 1980s. This includes serving as the Chair of the Board of Age and Opportunity Inc. of Winnipeg from 2002 through 2005. He has served as Executive Director of not-for-profit organizations, as Coordinator of Community and Resource Development in the child welfare and community healthcare fields, and on Boards of Directors. Gerry brings a breadth of first-hand organizational experience to his consulting practice. He served as a Research and Evaluation Specialist with the Province of Manitob,a and was the Coordinator of Research and Information Systems with the Addictions Foundation of Manitoba (AFM) from 1990 through 2000.Gerry left the AFM in June 2000 to give his undivided attention to his consulting practice. Through this hands-on experience Gerry fully understands the challenges and demands faced by both senior managers and unions.
